David Moyes close to securing Manchester United managerial seat
According to The Telegraph, Everton boss David Moyes is in pole position to claim the managerial opening at Manchester United.
The Scot looks set to replace compatriot Sir Alex Ferguson, who announced his retirement earlier today. Moyes will put behind 11 years of managing Everton to take on the role of managing the newly-crowned Premier League champions.
Moyes is out of contract in the summer and has long attracted the attention of the Manchester club. Earlier in the year, Moyes rejected a new contract at Everton, saying that he’d decide come the end of the season. With SAF having a say on who his successor will be, Moyes has become the bookie’s bet and has seen odds on his switch to Old Trafford plummet over the last couple of hours.
Manchester United will be hoping that Moyes will be able to get the best out of United’s squad, and drive the club to further glory.
