Video: Diego Maradona hits a woman and kicks cameraman during a 'Peace' charity match
Argentine Diego Maradona is once again in the spotlight but for all the wrong reasons.
Playing in a charity match to support the Columbian process of peace, the 1986 World Cup winner chipped in with a late penalty to win the game for his side Bogota in the Estadio Metropolitano de Techo in Colombia.
With fans anxious for autographs and photos from the 54-year-old following the match, Maradona took a swipe at a woman as he was making his lap of honour. He would then go on to kick a cameraman while breaking his camera phone in the process.
Surprisingly, the Argentinian was clearly unaffected by what had happened, and ironically continued to speak about peace following the incident.
“The ones who deserve the credit are you in the stands, who want peace. We can run after a ball, but peace must be won by you because you truly deserve it. Enough of the violence in Colombia! We want peace and I want it with all of my heart,” said Maradona.
