Dunga praises 'decisive' Neymar after Brazil's Copa America win

Neymar played a big part in Brazil’s win over Peru in Copa America

Santiago, June 15 (IANS) Brazil coach Dunga described Neymar as "decisive" after the Barcelona forward helped the Selecao overturn an early deficit to beat Peru in their Copa America Group C match.

Neymar cancelled out Christian Cueva's third-minute opener in Sunday's match by heading in a Dani Alves cross two minutes later at the Estadio German Becker in the southern Chilean city of Temuco, reports Xinhua news agency. He then set up Douglas Costa's winner with a slide-rule pass in the third minute of stoppage time.

"Neymar is a decisive player," Dunga said in his post-match press conference. "He has been playing at Barcelona where the competition is great, but everybody in this team is decisive. This competition is totally different. Neymar, Miranda and Douglas were all decisive.

"Peru made things very difficult, especially in the first half. In the second half (goalkeeper) Jefferson didn't touch the ball."

Brazil's next match is against Colombia in Santiago on Wednesday.

A day later Peru will face Venezuela, who posted a shock 1-0 victory over Colombia on Sunday.
