East Bengal looking to make Kolkata Derby an extravaganza
The venue is again the Salt Lake Stadium and the date, 9th December. The organisers of the first Kolkata Derby of this season, East Bengal, are leaving no stones unturned to make this an epic clash and rope in as much of a crowd as possible.
The red and gold brigade have brought a bagful of surprises this time. A cut-out of a few of East Bengal’s former players, along with four of the club secretaries, will be placed at the Salt Lake Stadium. It includes Suresh Choudhury, Deepak Das, Jyotish Chandra Guha and Nripen Das.
Next up, there will be forty footballs up for grabs in the stadium. The balls will be signed by different players of the club, and the balls will be given to some lucky spectators in the stadium.
There will be itinerant ticket counters, and numerous lottery will also be conducted. The winners will get free tickets to watch the second derby and only a few lucky ones will get a chance to meet their favourite footballers and have a chat with them.
The ticket prices start from 70 rupees up to 250 rupees. Tickets will also be available at the Mohun Bagan tent. During match day, the tickets will be sold in front of the entrance at the Salt Lake Stadium.
