Edwin Van der Sar sends Tim Krul birthday wishes... and then takes it back!

Tim Krul celebrated his birthday on April 3 and former goalkeeper and fellow countryman Edwin van der Sar was more than happy to wish him on Twitter.

The ex-Manchester United shot stopper also hoped that Krul would keep a clean sheet in Newcastle’s game this weekend:

But Van der Sar took back his good wishes a few hours later when he realized that Newcastle would be playing his former club Manchester United this weekend and had this to say:

Sorry @TimKrul didn’t know you are playing @ManUtd this weekend so I have to get you a different present later for your birthday!!

Ultimately, it doesn’t make a difference as Tim Krul may not even play the game because of a knee injury!
