EFL Cup 2016-17: Fourth round draw announced as Manchester City face Manchester United
The 2016-17 EFL Cup just got a new lease on life courtesy of an exciting fourth round draw which took place after yesterday’s games. After the end of the third round, only 16 teams remain in the completion and the biggest clash of the fourth round has to be the Manchester derby. The fourth round games are going to be played in the week commencing October 24.

Gunners face Reading test
Arsenal were impressive in their match as they defeated Nottingham Forest 4-0 courtesy of a brace from new signing Lucas Perez. The London club was rewarded with a home game against Reading. Brighton were on the losing end against Reading as the Japp Stam side will look to upset the Gunners. Another Premier League side, Hull City, will visit Bristol City
Southampton and Sunderland play an all-Premier League encounter as both the sides were on the winning side against Crystal Palace and QPR respectively. The biggest upset came from Goodison Park as Everton were defeated for the first time this season at the hands of Championship club Norwich. The Canaries now will face Leeds United away in the fourth round.
Preston North End were the real winners of this round as they took the scalp of Premier League club, Bournemouth and now will take on Newcastle United who defeated Wolves 2-0. West Ham marginally defeated Accrington Stanley 1-0 and now face Chelsea who beat Leicester 4-2 in extra time thanks to a brace from Cesc Fabregas.
Liverpool to face Tottenham
Liverpool were a class apart from Derby as they beat the Rams 3-0 and now welcome Spurs to Anfield. Philippe Coutinho wrecked havoc for the Reds while Erik Lamela was the star man for the London club in their respective sides.
Manchester City were made to work hard for their 2-1 win over Swansea and now face a blockbuster encounter against bitter rivals Manchester United. The Red Devils were the winners against Northampton courtesy of second-half goals from Ander Herrera and Marcus Rashford.
