Reports: Manchester United's Jose Mourinho keen on a reunion with former Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata

Alvaro Morata is a target for multiple Premier League clubs

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, is keen to work with Spanish striker Alvaro Morata once again. The Juventus star has been tipped to return to Real Madrid this summer, as the Spanish giants have the option to buy him back for €30m from July 1st to July 15th this year and are likely to exercise said option to sell him for a profit.

The 23-year-old has 12 goals and 12 assists to his name in 47 appearances this season, with most of them coming as a substitute. Many Premier League sides have been linked to Morata, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United.

With Arsenal likely to sign Leicester City hero Jamie Vardy they can be ticked off the list, whilst others could still be in the race.

According to Spanish daily Marca, Jose Mourinho is keen on a reunion with Alvaro Morata, but Real Madrid want around €60m for the Spaniard something that shouldn’t scare the Premier League giants, if they’re genuinely interested.

Manchester United, however, have also been tipped to sign Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic and we’re not really sure, if they’d want to sign two big name strikers considering they’d want to strengthen other areas on the pitch as well.

Marca reckon Ibrahimovic is all set to sign for Manchester United, and Mourinho wants to add ‘younger blood to his front line’, despite them already having Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

Morata can also play on the wings, but again that’d stop the progress of the likes of Anthony Martial or Memphis Depay, so it remains to be seen, if the interest from Manchester United is genuine.

There is no doubt, the player could be a brilliant signing for most clubs in the Premier League, and has already shown his quality at Juventus. Manchester United, however, are likely to face some competition to sign the Spaniard, and the interest from Manchester City could make any deal really difficult.

Marca are not the most reliable media outlet in Spain, and often publish reports that don’t really make sense.  It’s also worth pointing out that the option of staying at Juventus is not really in the hands of Morata, but he could very decide to stay at Real Madrid, and can’t be forced out.
