Euro 2016: Manchester United legend Eric Cantona talks about football hooliganism, Joachim Low and more

Cantona is quite the humourist

Eric Cantona is a colorful character, to say the least. But when he speaks everyone listens. The flamboyant Frenchman has many a time voiced his opinion without any regard for what the public opinionates, which is part of his allure.

In a recent video, he  collaborated with Eurosport to talk about a very popular topic at the Euros, Hooliganism. More than one set of fans have been involved in violent clashes and misconduct at the tournament.

It started out with Russian fans clashing with the police in France. That set off a chain of fan violence on the streets and in the stadiums. The most violent of these incidents was the clash between the English and the Russian supporters that led to several injuries and many more arrests

Russia was handed a suspended disqualification as well as a heavy fine for the hooliganism. Misbehaviour by Croatia and Hungarian fans followed ,once again prompting UEFA into action, fining both teams.

There were several concerns of security before the start of the tournament because of the Paris attacks that happened in November but the police have had their hands full with this unexpected excess of hooliganism across the major cities in the country

Cantona is not the most righteous of men on the planet, given his volatile past at Manchester United but he certainly has a way with words. In this hilarious rant, Cantona takes no prisoners as he unleashes his complete arsenal of voracious vocabulary on the wrongdoers of the EUROS.

He starts off a with a philosophical approach, gives his views on Joachim Loew’s on-camera displays of unhygienic discomfort and ends it on a very unusual but Cantonaesque note. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Cantona on screen.

You might remember him from his famous Nike Joga Bonito videos with the Brazilan team of the early 2000s. So please enjoy as Cantona gives his take on the UEFA EUROS:
