Euro 2016: Twitter reacts as Portugal beat Croatia
Portugal squeeze into the quarter-finals after Ricardo Quaresma scored a winner deep into extra-time against Croatia. The game lacked ebb and flow throughout and only got interesting in the dying minutes.
For almost 117 minutes, neither of the teams had the better of the game, until Ricardo Quaresma’s winner ended Croatia’s campaign in Euro 2016. The ricochet off of Danijel Subasic after he parried Cristiano Ronaldo’s fell kindly for the Besiktas man headed it into an empty net. Portugal will now face Poland in their quarter-finals.
