European giants ready to make offer for Chelsea star Raheem Sterling - Reports

The latest news coming in from the transfer window involves Chelsea star Raheem Sterling. Juventus are keen to bolster their front line and the vastly experienced 29-year-old could be an interesting loan option for them according to reports.

The former Liverpool and Manchester City star has been hugely successful in English football winning four Premier League titles, five League Cups, and an FA Cup. Due to his ability to play across the forward line and in various roles, he can provide immense flexibility to Juventus manager Thiago Motta.

🚨 BREAKING: Juventus have proposed a one-year LOAN offer to Chelsea for Raheem Sterling.🏴 #Juve #CFC

With Chelsea sealing a massive seven-year deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Pedro Neto for a fee of £54 million, Sterling could be surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge next season.

The pacy winger has not been at his best recently. He was dropped from Gareth Southgate's England squad for the Euros and it looks like a long way back to the national team at the moment. The Jamaican-born forward struggled at club level last season where he scored only 10 goals in 43 appearances, providing eight assists.

Chelsea also massively underperformed in 2023-24 finishing in 12th position and failing to qualify for any European competition. However, Juventus have once again qualified for the Champions League next season which could persuade Sterling to make the move.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio (Sky Sports Italia), if Chelsea makes Raheem Sterling available for a move away from Stamford Bridge, Juventus could face significant competition from other Premier League clubs in landing the experienced winger.

La Vecchia Signora is looking to add star-studded talent to their squad and Thiago Motta's side could certainly do with a player of Sterling's calibre. At his best, Sterling can bamboozle opposition defences with his lightning speed and mazy dribbling.

A move away from Chelsea could also reinvigorate Sterling's career and it will be interesting to see where the 29-year-old will be playing next season.
