FA Cup Draw: 10 Premier League sides face each other in third Round
The draw for the third round of the FA Cup was held on Tuesday in Cardiff and a number of Premier League sides will meet each other. Defending champions Arsenal were drawn at home against Sunderland – a team the Gunners recently beat 3-1 at the Emirates in the league. The last time Sunderland actually beat Arsenal was in the FA Cup in February 2012.
Elsewhere, the Gunners’ north London rivals were drawn against table toppers Leicester City in another mouthwatering clash between two Premier League sides. Spurs are currently fifth in the table and both sides have lost just once in the League so far.
Watford and Newcastle United were the first two sides to be drawn and will face each other. Manchester United travel to Sheffield to take on Sheffield United while Chelsea are at home to the winners of the replay between Leyton Orient and Scunthorpe United after the first fixture ended 0-0. Meanwhile, Manchester City will travel to take on Norwich City.
The third round matches will be played between 8-11 January 2016.
