Falcao's Manchester United future is uncertain according to his agent
Radamel Falcao’s agent, Jorge Mendes has said that his client’s future at Manchester United is uncertain. He said that Falcao deserves to play 90 minutes of every match and that it is difficult for United fans to see ‘one of the very best in the World’ not playing.
Falcao was signed on a loan deal by the English club from Ligue 1 side Monaco in the summer, with the option of a permanent transfer at the end of the deal. But, having been left out of the United squad in their 0-1 defeat to Southampton in favour of youngster James Wilson, has cast further doubts over the striker.
The Colombian has suffered an injury-plagued season in the Premier League but hasn’t featured regularly for Louis van Gaal’s side when fit. Not signing Falcao on a permanent deal next season would save Manchester United a huge £265,000 per week in wages.
Falcao is one of the best: Mendes
Mendes said, “He is a fantastic player, and I think it's very difficult for Manchester United fans – they have an absolutely brilliant player, one of the very best in the world, who would without any doubt play 90 minutes of the match, every time, with any other club.
“The truth is, right now we don't know what will happen. What we do know is that he will play in one of the very best clubs in the world next season, whether that is Manchester United or not.
“I am 100 percent sure of that. But you know how football works – we need to wait a little. We'll see what happens.”
When asked if Falcao could join Serie A next season, Mendes said, “I don’t know”. Mendes has ruled out a Monaco return for the 28-year-old, however.
Radamel Falcao has scored three goals in thirteen appearances, which include five substitute appearances.
