False Winger's take on transfer rumours: 15th May 2017
Transfer rumours are spreading every day, however today, things were not so bad. The reports today have not been unrealistic and are actually reliable.
Here are the top 3 rumours of the day:
#1 - Barcelona keen on signing Antonie Griezmann
According to Daily Star. Barcelona have activated Antonie Griezmann's release clause. The Catalan side are also in talks with striker according to the English media outlet.
The striker is linked with a lot of clubs with Manchester United being the said to be in the driver's seat for him. However, it's Barcelona who have stolen the march and are about to sign him.
How reliable is the news? Not as bad as Don Balon and not as good Sky Sports. Daily Star doesn't actually report a lot of exclusive stuff, and I can't recollect one they got correct in recent times. Not saying that they are not reliable but yea, take it with a pinch of salt for now.
#2 - Real Madrid want Jerome Boateng to replace Pepe
Pepe is set to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, and the club are on the hunt for a replacement. The Portuguese defender has been linked with a move to Inter Milan while Manchester United are also said to be keen on signing him.
Zidane wants an experienced defender to replace him, and it's Jerome Boateng who has been identified as the ideal one. Sky Deutschland are the source for this rumour and going by their record; it's a legit rumour.
However, one thing has to be noted here. They have reported that Los Blancos are interested in signing him, not that they have agreed to sign him. So, it's just a matter of identifying the replacement, not holding talks or signing him.
#3 - Andre Gomes offered to Real Madrid by agent
And just when you thought there wouldn't be any ridiculous rumours today, Don Balon come up with this! Andre Gomes, who they reported that Messi wants to be sold in the summer, has been offered to Real Madrid by Jorge Mendes.
I really don't know how many rumours of this Spanish publication I'll be debugging this summer. This media house has no interest in having any credibility and somehow, Express copy this without thinking twice.
Here's a tip for all, if you read an article and has the source being Don Balon, just ignore it. There is no way a rumour reported by them is ever coming true. Not even in FIFA 17 sometimes.
