Fantasy Premier League 2016-17: 5 players to pick for Gameweek 8

Kyle Walker has been one of the best defenders in the Premier League this season

After the end of the international fixtures, the spotlight is back on the popular and exciting English Premier League. This brings us back to Fantasy Premier League as the game heads towards Gameweek 8.

With a nail-biting finish to Arsenal’s game, the last gameweek was surely an exciting one. Arsene Wenger has also now been at Arsenal for over 20 years and continues to be an icon in the football world. Liverpool continued their winning streak and Manchester United were held to a frustrating draw by the league table strugglers Stoke City. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City were finally brought to a halt by Tottenham Hotspur after putting on a brilliant defensive display along with an efficient attack.

The coming gameweek will feature the big face off as Manchester United travel to Anfield and this will be Mourinho’s first North West Derby. The Portuguese will be hopeful of his men getting a brilliant performance against the Reds after a dismal run of games in the league. Elsewhere, N’Golo Kante faces his old team, as Chelsea face defending champions Leicester City at Stamford Bridge.

To help you with Gameweek 8, here’s a list of 5 players who could deliver excellent returns for your FPL team.

#1 Kyle Walker – £6.0m

The Spurs fullback has been nothing but immense for his team. With two assists along with four clean sheets for Tottenham this season, the speedster has been an incredibly important part of the Spurs backline.Walker’s stock continues to rise and any more delay would mean picking him up at an even higher price. The Englishman’s speed and forward runs are a great asset for any team and Mauricio Pocchetino has used him perfectly for his system.

At the moment, there are hardly any other defenders, who offer the kind of return Walker promises to and that makes him a must have. Tottenham’s defensive setup has been great this season and against a West Brom team that is not the best while coming forward, Walker could give great returns.
