Fantasy Premier League 2016-17: Players to pick for Gameweek 33
Gameweek 32 turned out to be a terrible fixture for Arsenal as they bowed down to relegation-threatened Palace 3-0 at Selhurst Park. It seems more and more likely that Arsenal will miss out on top 4 this season as all their main competitors are slowly running away from their grasp.
Manchester United beat Sunderland and it seems certain that the Black Cats will finally get relegated. Tottenham continued their dominance with an inspired performance by Son Heung-min who has firmly solidified his place in the team with his brilliant performances. Chelsea beat Bournemouth and lead the pack with 75 points on the table.
Our last week's team scored a mammoth 84 points with crucial contributions from the defence and the strike force. Let’s take a look at the suggested team for Gameweek 33:
Fixtures
Spurs vs Bournemouth
Crystal Palace vs Leicester
Everton vs Burnley
Stoke vs Hull
Sunderland vs West Ham
Watford vs Swansea
Southampton vs Man City
West Brom vs Liverpool
Man Utd vs Chelsea
Middlesbrough vs Arsenal
Forwards
#11 Romelu Lukaku - Long term
There is no doubt that the Belgian striker has been absolutely destructive this season. He currently leads the goalscorers table with 23 goals, 4 more than the next player on the table. Lukaku’s selection comes on the back of his fantastic home form since he has now scored 10 goals in his last 5 games with at least one goal in each of them.
As Everton host Burnley, we’re compelled to keep the Belgian who has destroyed opponents at home.
#10 Jamie Vardy – Long term
Leicester have come a long way since Ranieri’s sacking and the Foxes have won 4 out of their last Premier League 5 fixtures. English forward Jamie Vardy has been instrumental for them during this period and has been involved in 6 Leicester goals, scoring thrice and assisting as many times.
Leicester travel to Selhurst Park this gameweek as they prepare to face a depleted Palace squad. Although the South London club convincingly defeated Arsenal in their last fixture, Leicester’s renewed resurgence could see us get points from Vardy.
#9 Sergio Aguero – Long term
The 3rd striker of our already high budget frontline is the game’s most expensive player Sergio Aguero, who has shown excellent form for Manchester City. The Argentine has been a huge threat for Manchester City ever since he was brought back into the playing XI due to Gabriel Jesus’ injury.
The forward has scored 5 goals in his last 6 matches and seems a promising bet for good returns.
City have a brilliant run of fixtures coming up and it would make great sense to have offensive players from the team and Aguero has the highest chance of racking up points with his goals.
