Match 80 of ISL 2017/18 will see Kerala Blasters take on Chennaiyin FC in a crucial match for both the teams in their semi-final hopes. Kerala Blasters will look to end their home campaign with a win in the “Southern Derby” against Chennaiyin FC.

Goalkeeper

Karanjit Singh: The Chennaiyin FC shot-stopper has been in fine form helping Chennaiyin FC have one of the best defensive records of ISL 2017/18. If Chennaiyin FC are to defeat Kerala Blasters, Karanjit must be at it his best.

Defenders

Jerry Lalrinzuala: The 19-year-old has provided 2 assists so far, only Rene Mihelic has more amongst Chennaiyin FC players. The full-back has attempted 710 passes, the 2nd most by a Chennaiyin FC player. Jerry’s potential at both ends make him a must pick for your fantasy teams.

Rino Anto: Anto has already provided 2 assists with pinpoint crosses, which are the most by a defender in ISL 2017. The Thrissur born right-back has been strong defensively and has also impressed going forward.

Wes Brown: Wes Brown scored his first goal of the ISL which proved to be the winner against NorthEast United. Since his introduction to the starting line-up, Brown has impressed with his range of passing and organization of the defense.

Midfielders

Courage Pekuson: Courage has arguably been the best player for Kerala Blasters. The 23-year old has impressed with his energy, versatility and all-around play. The Ghanian has been involved in most of Kerala’s good work going forward assisting 5 goals, the most by a Kerala player. He has also attempted 27 shots so far, the most by a Kerala player.

Vineeth: Vineeth has scored 4 goals and is the 2nd highest scorer for Kerala Blasters. With Kerala Blasters needing a win in front of their home crowd local boy Vineeth will surely be the main man for Kerala Blasters.

Jackichand Singh: Jackichand Singh provided the assist for Wes Brown’s winner against NorthEast United. The 25-year old has now contributed 5 goals (2 goals, 3 assists). Kerala Blasters will hope the former Mumbai City FC winger fires again.

Raphael Augusto: Augusto had gone off the boil recently but has shown signs of returning his best. The 26-year old has attempted 688 passes, the most by a Chennaiyin FC midfielder, the Brazilian’s class and quality combined means he is a must pick for your fantasy teams.

Rene Mihelic: The underrated midfielder has provided 4 assists, most by a Chennaiyin FC player despite playing only 560 minutes so far. The former Maribor midfielder is one of the best set piece takers of this ISL. With the “Super Machans” facing 2 must win matches John Gregory will hope Mihelic continues to make the difference for them.

Forwards

Jeje: Jeje has struggled for form recently managing just 1 goal in the last 7 matches even missing a penalty against Bengaluru FC, but the 26-year old is Chennaiyin FC’s top scorer with 7 goals.

Baldvinsson: The Icelandic forward has acquitted himself well since his arrival in the ISL. He has scored and assisted 1 goal each. The 32-year old has attempted 8 shots in 4 matches and is once again expected to lead Kerala Blasters attack.
