What's the story?

If reports from French media outlet Le Parisien are to be believed, Paris Saint-Germain will demand €300M for Neymar should his former club FC Barcelona come to take the Brazilian back to the Camp Nou.

In case you didn't know...

After having spent four seasons at the Camp Nou, Neymar completed his big-money move to PSG in 2017. During his spell with the Catalan giants, the 27-year-old won one UEFA Champions League and two La Liga titles amongst numerous other collective as well as individual honours.

Since his move to the French capital, the former Blaugrana icon has helped the French giants to win two Ligue 1 titles. However, the Brazilian has failed to deliver on the European front as PSG are yet to win their maiden UEFA Champions League title.

On the individual terms, Neymar has failed to win the Ballon d'Or - something he desired the most when leaving FC Barcelona.

The heart of the matter

Last season, the Brazilian forward racked up 23 goals and 13 assists in the 28 appearances he made for the Ligue 1 giants across all competitions.

On the other hand, the Catalans signed former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho to replace his compatriot, in a big-money move away from the Anfield. However, Coutinho has failed to live up to the expectations and is looking for a way out from the Camp Nou after having a substandard season with the Blaugrana wherein he racked up 11 goals and 5 assists in the 54 appearances he made across all competitions.

As per reports from Spain, the Catalans are considering to cash in the former Liverpool player amid rumours of Neymar's return to the Camp Nou.

If reports are to be believed, the Brazilian has already informed PSG about his intentions to leave and return to his 'home'.

What's next?

It remains to be seen whether FC Barcelona will make a move to bring back the Brazilian to reunite the unstoppable Messi, Neymar, and Suarez trio.
