FC Barcelona to wear 'Gracias Johan' on shirts for El Clasico
FC Barcelona players will wear shirts with "Gracias Johan" or "Thank You Johan" during their La Liga El Clasico match against Real Madrid to pay tribute to Dutch legend Johan Cruyff.
Cruyff died last week after suffering from lung cancer, reports Efe.
Spanish newspaper AS reported that a 90,000 card "Gracias Johan" mosaic will also be displayed before the Clasico.
Barcelona, which leads La Liga standings, will face third-placed Real Madrid on April 2.
"Gracias Johan" will replace the FIFA World Club Cup champion badge for one game only.
Ahead of the Clasico, a tribute video will also be shown on the video scoreboard at Camp Nou stadium, according to AS.
Cruyff scored 290 league goals in a club career spanning 20 years and also netted 33 times in 48 appearances for the Netherlands.
The Dutchman, an icon at Barcelona and Dutch giants Ajax led Holland to the World Cup final in 1974.
As manager Cruyff spent eight years in charge of Barcelona.
