Fenerbahce 1-1 Manchester United: Red Devils' Player Ratings as they fall to 21st in the league phase table | UEFA Europa League

Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by Fenerbahce in the league phase of the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, October 24. The result sees the hosts climb up to 14th place in the table, while the Red Devils are struggling in 21st place in the table.

Manchester United made a sharp start to the contest as they looked to grab the initiative early on in the contest. Christian Eriksen handed his team a dream start as he gave them an early lead following a lovely team move by the squad. Joshua Zirkzee provided the assist for the goal as Erik ten Hag's men took a 1-0 lead after just 15 minutes.

Despite having a decent chunk of possession for the first period, Fenerbahce were unable to find a way back to the game. They managed just one shot on target in the first period and were unable to draw level before the break due to a lack of chances. Manchester United, on the other hand, happily conceded possession but maintained a solid defensive shape.

The visitors led 1-0 at the half-time interval.

Much to everyone's surprise, Fenerbahce did not give up easily at all. They levelled the game just four minutes after the restart. Allan Saint-Maximin's inch-perfect cross found Youssef En-Nesyri in the box, with the former Sevilla striker nodding in with ease to make it 1-1. Both Jose Mourinho and ten Hag made changes to their XIs to try and win the game.

However, neither side could create anything substantial towards the end of the match as it ended in a 1-1 draw. Having said that, let's take a look at Manchester United's player ratings from this exciting match.

Joshua Zirkzee - 7/10
