Cameroon’s talismanic striker Samuel Eto’s has been sidelined for Cameroon’s crucial match against Croatia striking a huge blow to their chances of qualifying to the next round.
The 33-year old Cameroon international informed about his absence via his Twitter account on Monday.
The doctors confirm! I would probably not be able to play the match vs Croatia on Wed, june18th due to an injury on my knee causing me pain.

Cameroon would be going into the game against Croatia without their all-time top scorer.
The Chelsea striker has been sidelined due to a knee injury he aggravated during Cameroon’s match against Mexico and has not trained for two days.
Coach Volker Finke though was hopeful Samuel Eto’o would recover in time to play in their final group game against hosts Brazil.
The talisman is sure to be missed as he has carried this Cameroon team for the better part of the last decade.
