FIFA World Cup qualifiers: Bolivia tuning up ahead of Colombia clash
Bolivia is fine-tuning its game ahead of the upcoming World Cup Russia 2018 South American qualifying match against Colombia, according to local media reports.
"The match against Colombia is crucial for us to have the opportunity to continue fighting to qualify. We can't afford the luxury of throwing away points at home," coach Julio Cesar Baldivieso told local media here on Sunday, reports Xinhua.
The coach added that seven of his players have been injured. These players are focusing on recovering before the match which will be played on March 24.
Ronald Eguino, Erwin Saavedra, Diego Bejarano, Danny Bejarano, Alejandro Chumacero, Juan Carlos Arce and Rodrigo Ramallo are the players who will be taking training easier than other players.
After the home match against Colombia, Bolivia will travel to Cordoba to face Argentina on March 29 for their sixth qualifying match.
Bolivia currently sit third from last in the South American standings with three points in four games. Bolivia is currently ahead of Peru (3 points) and Venezuela (0).
