"Flick has changed my life", "Vardrid are shaking" - Social media reacts as Lewandowski hat-trick inspires Barcelona to 3-0 against Alaves

Barcelona fans have lavished praise on Robert Lewandowski and coach Hansi Flick after the Catalan giants secured a 3-0 win over Deportivo Alavés at Mendizorrotza Stadium on Sunday (October 6).

The Polish marksman was brilliant in the game, securing a first-half hat-trick and helping Barcelona go three points clear of rivals Real Madrid atop the La Liga 2024-25 table.

The visitors scored the game's opener in the seventh-minute courtesy of a Robert Lewandowski header from a Raphinha set piece. Both combined again in the 22nd minute to make it 2-0 for the Catalans.

Finally, a through ball by Eric Garcia followed by an immaculate finish by the former Bayern Munich striker in the 32nd minute sealed the season's eighth victory for Barca.

Fans have hopped on to X to share their appreciation for Hansi Flick's side. Some popular comments are as follows:

"HANSI FLICK HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!!" wrote a fan on X.
"Vardrid are shaking," tweeted another.
"We are currently the best team in the world," declared another Barca faithful.

Lewandowski now has 10 goals and two assists in nine La Liga games, making him the top scorer in the league.

Former Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez reportedly wanted Robert Lewandowski gone from the Catalan squad. Xavi was appointed as the Barcelona manager in November 2021 after the departure of Ronald Koeman. He was replaced at the start of this season by Hansi Flick.

According to a report by AS, Xavi didn't have faith in Lewandowski and told President Joan Laporta that Lewandowski was physically incapable of continuing as Barca's main striker. The report further states that this led to a rift between Lewandowski and Xavi before the latter's eventual departure.

However, Lewandowski has been instrumental for the side under Hansi Flick's tutelage. In this season, the Pole has scored 12 goals and laid out a couple of assists in 11 games across competitions.
