AC Milan sign Jeremy Menez from PSG
AC Milan have confirmed Jeremy Menez as their new summer signing after the French striker put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Rossoneri.
Menez, who spent three years at Paris Saint German, arrived on a free transfer after his contract expired with the Les Parisiens. He scored 19 goals in a total of 110 games since his €8 million move from Roma in July 2011.
The deal ties the French international with the Serie A outfit until 2017. Following an agreement between both the parties, he flew into Italy to undergo a medical on Friday after which Milan released an official statement confirming the transfer.
The club stated on their official website: "AC Milan announces that Jeremy Menez has signed a contract that will tie him to the club until June 30, 2017."
AC Milan endured a tough season as they finished eighth in the domestic league and failed to qualify for Europe next season. Club legend Clarence Seedorf was sacked by the club officials and another red and black legend, Filippo Inzaghi, has been appointed to take charge next season in his place.
And Menez has revealed his admiration for the Rossoneri legend as he is excited to work with the former Italian international. He has also promised the San Siro faithful that he will do his best to return the club among the top three in Serie A.
