Franck Ribery commits future to Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has declared categorically that he will not be playing for any other club in Europe.
The winger told German magazine Kicker that there is no prospect of him playing in Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1 or some of the other European leagues, but would look to play in the MLS or UAE once he finishes his ‘real career’.
Ribery said, “In Europe, there will be no other club, but it would be a bonus for me if there can be another continent after that. I could be tempted to go to a country like the U.S. or maybe the [United Arab] Emirates, but I would not count that as part of my real career.”
“That would be something I would do to wind up my career and could not be compared to what I have experienced in Munich. I will stay in Munich as long as it is possible.”
The France winger has a contract with European champions Bayern Munich till 2017 and hopes to continue to play for the Bavarian giants for as long as possible after the club supported him during some of his difficult times.
Ribery has been a huge factor in Bayern’s recent success & is also on the 3-man shortlist for the Ballon D’or alongside Cristiano Ronaldo & Lionel Messi. Despite having talked up a move to La Liga a couple of years ago, the UEFA player of the year has now committed his future to the German champions.
