Fulham midfielder out of Iranian team for 3 months

Tehran, April 14 (IANS): Fulham’s Iranian midfielder Ashkan Dejagah will not be able to be part of the Iranian national football team at least for three months due to a injury.

Dejagah will miss the games against Qatar, Lebanon and South Korea in the 2014 World Cup qualifier, slated for June 4-18, reports Xinhua.

In Fulham’s 3-2 victory over QPR April 1, Dejagah sustained an ankle ligament injury.

Fulham coach Martin Jol said that Dejagah will have surgery in the coming days and he will not play again this season for the English club.
