Claudio Ranieri will be relived by the return of star winger Andre Schurrle and full-back Cyrus Christie after the former missed the last match through injury while the latter was taken off with a suspected knock in the second half against Crystal Palace in the weekend.

Dutch international Timothy Fosu Mensah is ineligible to play against his parent club while goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli and centre back Alfie Mawson are still a long way from recovering from their long-term injuries.

New signings Lazar Markovic, Havard Nordtveit and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa are expected to be on the bench with the trio still far from match fitness.
