Galatasaray target Inter midfielder Wesley Sneijder
Galatasaray have announced they are in negotiations with Inter Milan over the transfer of star midfielder Wesley Sneijder.
After refusing to take a pay cut, the Dutch play-maker is in a contract disagreement with Inter and hasn’t played for the team since September.
“Galatasaray announces it has begun negotiations with the FC Internazionale for the transfer of Wesley Sneijder, the public will be informed of developments. ” read a statement on Galatasaray’s official website, galatasaray.org.
“We are about to emigrate,” Sneijder’s wife, Yolanthe Sneijder-Cabau, revealed just before Christmas. “It should happen in early January and we are looking for a nice place for our family.” The statements have since been claimed as ‘misinterpreted’ but a move seems to be definitely on the cards.
Certain reports claimed the Turkish club had offered wages of £70,000 a week to the Netherlands international, who currently receives around £200,000 from Inter.
The 28 year old has also attracted a lot of attention from both Manchester clubs as well as Paris St. Germain.
