Fantasy Premier League 2018-19: 3 budget players to pick up this week

'Arnie' bagged a brace against Brighton
'Arnie' bagged a brace against Brighton

#1 Marko Arnautovic – Forward (£6.8 m)

Goals: 7

Assists: 3

Season Points: 79

Upcoming fixtures: FUL (H), MCI (A), NEW (H)

The Hammers frontman is only selected by 6.8% of managers right now so it could be a great time to bring in the Austrian. With 10 goals this season he’s been incredible value in the frontline. He bagged a brace in GW21 against Brighton but has missed 2 games since then. He’s staying with West Ham after the drama of the rumours he was leaving for China and I expect him to start firing on all cylinders until season end. You might want to jump on before others do! West Ham also don’t blank in either GW31 or GW33 so it’s a nice comfort blanket.

Ben Chilwell could be a budget way into the Leicester defence who have great fixtures!

#2 Ben Chilwell – Defender (£5 m)

Goals: 0

Assists: 3

Season Points: 81

Upcoming fixtures: CRY (H), BRI (H), WAT (A)

Chilwell could be being overlooked by a lot of us as we rush to Periera. He could be a nice differential for us with only 2.5% of bosses currently having him in their teams. Leicester have a nice run of fixtures coming up with 3 out of his next 4 games coming at home. Chilwell took 4 shots against Spurs in GW26 and is on some set pieces. He’s averaged 1 key pass per game in his last 8 games so returns could be just around the corner.

Almirón could prove a steal at £6.0m

#3 Miguel Almirón – Midfielder (£6 m)

Goals: 0

Assists: 0

Season Points: 1

Upcoming fixtures: HUD (H), BUR (H), WHM (A)

I talked about him on my podcast debut with @WhatheFPL and Gaz (@FPLBrit) mentioned him as well. I’m in the same mindset that I expect him to move straight into the Newcastle team. He may well blank in GW33 if Crystal Palace make it through in the FA cup quarter finals but up until then Newcastle have a beautiful run of games. He’s been brought in by 0.2% of FPL Managers after his move from the MLS, where he averaged 1 goal every 3 games at Atlanta! He made 1 key pass in his 17 minutes of Premier League football so far and could be a real bargain!
