Gerard Deulofeu looking to thrive at Barcelona next season
Barcelona’s on loan winger, Gerard Deulofeu, wants to make an impact at his parent club FC Barcelona, and is hoping to break through the ranks of the Catalan club.
He had an impressive season at his club Everton, by making 29 appearances and scoring 4 goals.
Speaking to RAC 1, Deulofeu says, “I would like to return to Barca and this is my first option.”
“I feel very happy with the season I have had at Everton and have great respect for Barcelona. I also know I have to wait until the end of the season and then we will see what happens. Now I have had a year on loan at Everton I am waiting to be told something. Nobody has said anything to me.”
Gerard Deulofeu has returned to Spain to watch his club take on Atletico Madrid in a potential title decider. “I would not miss the game. I do miss the Nou Camp and being on the pitch.”
“I am optimistic. We can win the league on the last day, although it will be very difficult. But Barca are favourites to win at home.
“What this team has done in the last few years has been incredible. You have to understand the demands of playing for Barca because the expectation is for Barca to always win.”
