Gerard Pique displays his humorous side on social media with friendly jabs at Barcelona teammates

Gerard Piqué’s humorous side was on full display as the Catalan took to Twitter to answer any five questions the fans had for him on the flight back home after the game against BATE. Pique’s solid defensive performance at the back was instrumental in his side keeping a clean sheet. This was Barcelona’s third clean sheet of the campaign and that was good news for them as the Cules have struggled with problems at the back.

Here’s what he had to say about Douglas’ hairstyle, Luis Suárez & Marc Bartra. When quizzed about the possession of a pet the Catalan slyly made a reference to his Barcelona teammate tweeting, ‘I have got one in the team, @MarcBartra.’

Pique was asked whether he will ever possess a haircut like Douglas' to which he slyly remarked –  ‘I've never fancied porn actors hairstyles.’

The Spanish defender was also questioned about his favourite food, to which he promptly wrote ‘The snails that my grandma cooks.’

Pique was thoroughly enjoying the session and even made a sly reference to his Barcelona team mate, Luis Suarez’s tendency to bite players. When asked about the teammate who eats the most, Pique slyly remarked –‘Obviously, Luis Suárez.’

When asked about who he thought would win the Ballon`D’Or, he brushed away the question with one of his own, saying “Do I need to answer that one?”, hinting that it was obvious who the prime candidate for the prize was – his Barca teammate Leo Messi.

Lastly, he was asked to opine about his best moment as a football player, to which he replied, ‘To arrive at the locker room after winning a game and feel that you've done a great mach.’

Pique signed off with the tweet – ‘The Q&A is over! I'll try to do it again during the season. Peace and Love.’

The defender must have been in a good mood as Barcelona have virtually sealed their qualification to the knockout stages with their win in Borisov and are expected to beat BATE when the two sides face off at the Camp Nou for their next Champion’s League encounter.

Substitute Ivan Rakitic scored a brace to earn Barcelona a very deserved 2-0 victory over BATE on Tuesday, thus ensuring that the reigning European champions move three points clear at the top of Group E.

Barcelona dominated throughout the match against the recently crowned Belarusian champions, but were made to wait until three minutes into the second half for Rakitic to open the scoring with a well-taken strike from distance.

The Croatian replaced the injured Sergi Roberto with almost an hour remaining on the clock and was the difference maker for Luis Enrique's side in Borisov as he scored a brace in the second half from two Neymar assists to give Barca an away win after recent defeats on the road in La Liga to Celta Vigo and Sevilla.
