Germany footballers to get over $340,000 each if they win Euro 2016
Members of Germany's national football team who were crowned the world champions in Brazil, will get 300,000 euros ($341,740) each if they manage to win the title of the next European Championship in France, according to sources from the German Football Federation, DFB.
Each of the players and their head coach Joachim Low will get 150,000 euros ($170,850) if they reach the final, while for the semi-finals they will receive 100,000 euros ($113,900) and only 50,000 euros ($56,920) for the quarter-finals, reports Efe.
Only if they do not pass the group stage or fall in round of 16 they will leave the Euro without any bonuses, the sources noted.
The German team has achieved so far three European championships -- 1972, 1980 and 1996 and four World Cups -- 1954, 1974, 1990 and 2014.
