Germany's Joaquim Löw without Bayern and Dortmund players for Ecuador and USA friendlies
Germany coach Joachim Löw has had a tough time to call-up a squad for the international friendlies on May 29 against Ecuador and June 2 against the United States with an German UEFA Champions League final on May 25, the German Cup final on June 1, his players in Spain and Italy on duty and Germany taking part in the Euro Under-21 Championships from June 5. On paper, this is the weakest German national team in years, but it gives a number of newcomers – Philipp Wollscheid, Sidney Sam, Nicolai Müller, Max Kruse – besides forgotten players like Dennis Aogo, Aaron Hunt, Stefan Reinartz and Andreas Beck, a chance to show themselves against Ecuador in Boca Raton and the USA four day later.
For the second game, Borussia Dortmund duo Sven Bender and Kevin Großkreutz besides Miroslav Klose of Lazio Roma will fly across to strengthen the team in Washington against the United States.
