Ghana names squad for Egypt World Cup play-off
Accra, Nov 5 James Kwasi Appiah, head coach of Ghana’s Black Stars, has named a 24-man squad to face Egypt in this month’s World Cup qualifying play-off in Cairo.
Kevin Prince-Boateng, who missed the first leg encounter in Kumasi last month, has been included in the squad, reported Xinhua.
The 26-year-old picked up the injury in Schalke’s 4-1 league victory over Augsburg early last month.
Also included are Dominic Adiyiah and goalkeeper Daniel Agyei, who return to the Black Stars team to play the Pharaohs Nov 19 at the Air Defence Stadium.
Ghana defeated Egypt 6-1 in the first leg of the two-legged play-off in Kumasi Oct 15.
The aggregate winner qualifies for the Brazil finals in 2014.
