Video: Gremio midfielder Douglas dos Santos disgraces his team by urinating on the pitch

Douglas dos Santos of Gremio was caught in the act of urinating on the pitch

The Gremio midfielder was caught on camera urinating on the pitch during his team’s match against Fluminense in the Brazil Cup. While the vile incident was a huge disgrace to his team, his fellow players were however understanding.

Dos Santos had his teammates cover for him, as they formed a circle around the player when he attended nature’s call. The player who wanted to make the incident more discrete, disguised the vile action by pretending to tie his shoe lace.

The 33-year old plays as an attacking midfielder for  the club and was loaned to Gremio from Monte Azul for the season. This though is not the first time that the player has played for the team, he played at the Arena do Grêmio from 2010 to 2012, and returned to play for them after spending three year at clubs like Vasco da Gama and Monte Azul.

While the only trophy he won with Gremio was the Campeonato Gaucho, he ended up winning the Copa do Brasil in 2009 and Copa Libertadores in 2012 with Corinthians.

The Brazilian though is not the only player to be caught peeing on the pitch. Such incidents have also taken place in Europe, for example, Jens Lehmann who was one of Germany’s most iconic goalkeepers was caught taking a leak in a Champions league match between Stutgarry and Unirea Urziceni in 2009.

Another player who took part in similar activity was Demarcus Beasley during the World Cup. The player who was representing the United states at the time ended up relieving his stress when he was told to warm up. The player though might have misunderstood what the manager meant because he ended up warming the pitch by creating a puddle of his petrocious discharge.
