Harry Kane flattered with Manchester United interest but sees future at Tottenham

Harry Kane is happy at Tottenham despite being linked to Manchester United

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane enjoyed a breakthrough season in the EPL, scoring 31 goals for the club in all competitions, on his way to winning the PFA Young Player of the Year award. His performances for Spurs have not gone unnoticed, with Manchester United reportedly showing an interest in the young forward.

The 21-year-old star, who is currently on duty with England in the under-21 European Championship, said he was honoured to be linked with the English giants. But he sees his immediate future at White Hart Lane for the time being.

"I am happy at Spurs and I look forward to the future with Spurs. I have seen there is interest, but that's all I know.

“It is flattering for other clubs to maybe be interested," Kane said.

Louis van Gaal wants to strengthen his attacking options ahead of the 2015/16 season after a below-par output from his strikers last season. Manchester United have parted ways with Radamel Falcao and are also reportedly considering letting go of Dutch striker Robin van Persie.

When asked if it would be difficult to turn down a move to a ‘big club’, Kane said, "Tottenham are one of the big clubs. That is the way people have to see it.

“I am at a big club," he concluded.
