Hart eager to look at bright side

England goalkeeper Joe Hart is only looking at the positives that his side can carry over from the 1-1 draw against France to the remaining two group matches at the Euros. Hart, who except for failing to stop a Samir Nasri strike that went into the bottom corner, did nothing wrong throughout the 90 minutes said:

“Samir’s a clever player, we dropped off a little bit. It was a good goal and we have to concentrate on the good performance. You can question the team all you want, but you’ll always get belief, pride and quality.

“People forget that we’re England and we’re a good side. In that first 25 minutes they weren’t ready for us.”

France dominated possession but England opened the scoring in the 30th minute through a Joleon Lescott header. Samir Nasri equalized for France nine minutes later with a beautiful strike from just outside the box. And the Frenchman admits playing alongside Hart at Manchester City helped him outfox the goalkeeper. He told the reporters:

“Ribery gave me the ball back and the England defence was really low (sitting back). Joe Hart knows I open my body up so I did the opposite.

“We didn’t lose and that is the important thing. I am confident about our possibilities of going through to the quarter-final.”
