Higuain's agent reveals why Arsenal deal did not materialise
Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain’s agent Ernesto Bronzetti has revealed why Arsenal stopped pursuing the player. It appears that new Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has assured the Argentine international that he will get enough playing time in the league this season.
Bronzetti said: “In regards to Higuain, Ancelotti does not want to discard him. Real Madrid, then, would not want to give up the player and I have to say that the Spanish club never takes players who have passed the age of thirty, so Ibrahimovic can not come.”
He also explained why Real Madrid dropped out of the race from buying Edinson Cavani, who is with French side Paris Saint-Germain now.
He said: “Cavani went to PSG because the Parisian club was the only one able to pay that fee. Real Madrid’s attack consists of Ronaldo, Benzema and Higuain, very strong players, and Madrid could never spend €63m for Cavani.”
