Hulk, Adriano ruled out of Brazil-Colombia friendly

Rio de Janeiro, Nov 5 – Barcelona defender Adriano and Zenit St. Petersburg forward Hulk have been ruled out of Brazil’s international football friendly against Colombia next week with injuries.

Hulk suffered a hip strain during the Russian team’ s 2-1 victory over Rostov Friday while Adriano tore his right adductor muscle in Barcelona’ s 3-1 victory over Celta Vigo Saturday, reports Xinhua.

St. Petersburg officials anticipate Hulk to be out for at least 10 days and Adriano is not expected to return until the end of the month.

The Barcelona player’s absence leaves Brazil coach Mano Menezes without his two preferred left-backs, with Real Madrid’s Marcelo also sidelined by a foot injury.

Brazil’s will play Colombia Nov 14 in New Jersey, United States.
