Jamshedpur FC reserves register its first victory in the ongoing season

Jamshedpur FC reserves edged past Chennaiyin FC reserves in a 5-goal thriller at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur.

The team from Jharkhand registered their first win of the season after ending the opening tie 1-1 with Tiddim Road Athletic Union.

The home side opened the scoring in the 10th minute, Gorachand Mamdi was the goal scorer but the lead was short-lived.

Bedashwor Singh made it 1-1 in the 23rd minute to make the encounter exciting.Jamshedpur FC reserves took just 15 minutes to restore the lead in the 38th minute by a strike from Gourav Mukhi. It was 2-1 at the halfway mark.

Gourav Mukhi made it 3-1 and completed his brace in the 54th minute to virtually take the game away from the visiting team.

Although B Rohmingthanga pulled one back for Chennayin FC, the hosts held on the lead to grab full points from the fixture.

This was Chennaiyin FC’s second loss in as many matches; they have to pull their socks to stay alive in the tournament.

Their next match is against Bengaluru FC reserves on April 6. There is ample of time for them to regroup and make a comeback in the next tie.

Meanwhile, Jamshedpur FC reserves will play against Langsning FC on April 4. On the other hand, Real Kashmir will be in action with Delhi Dynamos.

Simultaneously, Fateh Hyderabad will face the likes of Goa reserves on the same day.
