I-League 2017/18, Match 60: Shillong Lajong FC vs Mohun Bagan, Player Ratings

Match 60 of I-League took place in the highlands of Meghalaya as Shillong Lajong hosted Mohun Bagan at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong.

Mohun Bagan registered a convincing 3-0 victory and leapfrogged arch-rivals East Bengal to place themselves in the third position on the table.

By virtue of this win, the Green and Maroon brigade have 20 points from 12 games while Shillong are in the fifth spot with 17 points from 14 games.

Phurba Lachenpa (5/10) - Phurba had a busy outing between the sticks as Mohun Bagan registered a lot of strikes on the Shillong goal. He was beaten by a Dipanda Dicka header in the first half of the match while two late goals from Akram Moghrabi and Sheikh Faiaz added to the misery of the young keeper.

Novin Gurung (5.5/10) - The right-back was kept on his toes by the wingers Azharuddin Mullick initially and later Sheikh Faiaz. Gurung did well against both of them curbing their threat.

Laurence Doe (5.5/10) - The centre-back for the Shillong Lajong side was a strong presence in the defence. He was always a threat from setpieces with his physical presence and won a lot of aerial duels.

Juho Oh (5.5/10) - The Korean centre-back had a busy outing as the Lajong defenders had to deal with the threatening duo of Akram Moghrabi and Dipanda Dicka. He was strong in his tackles and did well along with Doe beside him.

Kenstar Kharshong (5.5/10) - The left-back for the home side was busy at both ends of the park today. He had to deal with the attacking threat of Nikhil Kadam but whenever he had the chance, he went on the attack and put in good crosses for the attackers.

Rakesh Pradhan (6/10) - Pradhan was played in the midfield today on the left flank and he did well to utilize his speed and crossing ability for the home side.

Lalrohlua (6/10) - The young midfielder played centrally and put in a good shift for Lajong with his hard work. He was good with his high press against the Bagan players and passed the ball well in the middle of the pitch.

Daniel Odafin (6.5/10) - Nigerian Odafin was the engine for Shillong Lajong as he played in the defensive midfield role. He was strong in his tackles when he broke up plays and kept finding the runs from the attackers ahead of him.

Samuel Lalmuanpuia (7/10) - The young 19-year-old captain of Shillong Lajong was the go-to man for the home side for the free-kicks. He had a great chance in the first half that was saved by Shilton Paul in the Bagan goal and was a constant threat on the left flank.

Saihou Jagne (6.5/10) - The former Fateh Hyderabad man took a shot on the Bagan goal in the first half that was parried away by Shilton Paul. He did well in attack and combined well with Odafin and Koffi for the home side.

Abdoulaye Koffi (6.5/10) - The Ivorian striker was a threat in attack for the Shillong side with his intimidating physical presence. He kept the Mohun Bagan defenders occupied and had a couple of efforts on Paul's goal but failed to convert.

Substitutes:

Hardy Cliff Nongbri (5/10) - The midfielder replaced Lalrohlua in the second half after the hour mark as Lajong coach went in search of the equaliser through the introduction of fresh legs.
