I-League Preview: Mohun Bagan look to seal second spot as they host champions Bengaluru FC in season final
Though Mohun Bagan have lost their I-League crown to Bengaluru FC, they will have a chance to grab a win against the champions when they meet in the last league match of the season here on Friday.
Bagan are on second spot in the points table with 27 points and a win would not only be a sweet memory but it would also seal their runners-up place ahead of their arch-rivals East Bengal.
What would be of concern for Sanjoy Sen and his men is the fact that they have only won one game in their last five outings, so coming out victorious against the champions will be a difficult task.

The likes of Sony Norde and Cornell Glen need to fire if Bagan are to bag all three points. The forwards this season have been amongst goals and they would ideally want to sign off with something special. Jeje Lalpekhlua and Katsumi Yusa are also likely to constant threat to the Bengaluru defence.
What would give the Mariners confidence is that they have won the first leg away at Bengaluru. The visitors ideally would not want to go down twice in a season to another heavyweight and therefore, coach Ashley Westwood would not leave any stone unturned to hold Bagan off.

If Bagan fail to log full points, East Bengal -- who have a game against Shillong Lajong on Sunday would be in with a chance to grab a second place finish.
The hosts will have a lot of support here and with the vociferous supporters egging them on, the game promises to be an exciting one.
