I'am happy at Benfica, insists Ezequiel Garay
Benfica central defender Ezequiel Garay has said that he is more than happy at the club and potentially ruled out a move to Manchester United in the summer.
“I have learned a lot since I came to Benfica and I am very happy at the club,” Garay told Benfica TV.
Garay has been a target for the English champions for a long time and interest in him was further ignited due to the form and injuries of veterans Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic. And the statement will come as a big blow for United who are keen to recruit in January.
Garay also said that he will be looking to cement his spot in the Argentine national team with the World Cup approaching.
“We qualified and it will be my first World Cup if I get called up so I’m really excited,” he added.
