India have to put tremendous effort to beat Oman: Stephen Constantine
National team head coach, Stephen Constantine, said on Wednesday that the first World Cup qualifier against Oman will be a very difficult game. Constantine also gave information about the squad for the qualifiers.
“We know about Oman. But then, there will not be any easy match for India in the qualifiers. We have to put tremendous effort.,” said the 52-year-old.
“I have seen Oman recently. They are a very good side,” he added.
From the 38 probables selected by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), 30 players made it to the provisional squad. Only Gurpreet Singh Sandhu and Aiborlang Khongjee missed the training session held in New Delhi. Gurpreet is still in Norway playing for his club side Stabaek while Khongjee is injured and likely to miss the game against Oman.
“Gurpreet is flying out of Norway on Sunday and will join us in Bangalore the next day,” added Constantine
