Indian Super Cup 2018: FC Goa vs ATK, Player Ratings
The main draw of the Indian Super Cup continued action from the Round of 16 as two Indian Super League sides - FC Goa and ATK, clashed at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar, Orissa.
The match began on a pretty even footing and the deadlock was broken at the end of the first half by Ferran Corominas.
Robbie Keane equalised early in the second half but Goa added two more goals by Hugo Boumous and Brandon Fernandes as they booked their spot in the final eight.
FC Goa will take on fellow ISL side Jamshedpur FC in the quarter-final.
FC Goa
Naveen Kumar (6/10) - The FC Goa keeper had a quiet first half except for one dicey moment with Zequinha and Keane's effort that hit the post.
He was beaten at the start of the first half by Robbie Keane but had a relatively quiet second half.
Narayan Das (6.5/10) - The India international was highly active on the left flank making a lot of overlapping runs in the attack.
He put in a lot of crosses into the box and was always an option on the wing for FC Goa.
Bruno Pinheiro (6/10) - The Portuguese defender marshalled his troops at the back well as they dealt with the physical threat of Robin Singh in the box.
He was good with his clearances as Goa played out the ball from the back.
Sergio Juste (6/10) - The centre-back for the Goan side was kept busy by the threatening Robbie Keane but did well to keep him in check.
He was strong in the air and made a lot of crucial interceptions.
Seriton Fernandes (6/10) - The young right-back who had impressed with his performances in the ISL was kept on his toes by the deadly Zequinha on his flank.
Fernandes did well to deal with the threat and also forayed ahead in attack whenever he got the opportunity.
Pronay Halder (6.5/10) - The tough-tackling former Mumbai City FC man played just in front of the defence as he played the sweeping role for FC Goa.
He broke up a lot of ATK plays in the centre of the pitch and put in a lot of tackles using his physicality well.
Hugo Boumous (8/10) - The foreign import from Morocco played an influential role in the midfield as he controlled the attacking temp for the Goan side.
He got the second goal of the match when he made a great run beating the offside trap and finished calmly past the ATK keeper Poirei.
Edu Bedia (6.5/10) - The Spaniard operated in the centre of the park behind the attacking midfielders and moved all across the midfield.
He put in an industrious shift making tackles and threading passes as well.
Brandon Fernandes (8.5/10) - The Goan lad played on the right flank and was really creative with his movement and kept troubling the ATK defenders with his passes.
He got a goal to his credit when got on the end of a great move by the Goa side to virtually take ATK out of the match.
Mandar Rao Dessai (7/10) - The pacey winger was a constant threat to the ATK defence with his menacing runs on the flank. He put in a lot of good balls into the box for the attackers.
Ferran Corominas (7.5/10) - The ISL Golden Boot winner stayed true to his reputation and got the first goal for Goa at the end of the first half.
He fell back a tad deep as well to support the midfield and even created a goal for Brandon Fernandes.
Substitutes:
Pratesh Shirodkar (1/10) - The midfielder came on in the added time to replace Mandar Rao Dessai as the Goa coach ran down the clock.
Liston Colaco (1/10) - The youngster was the second substitute made by Derrick Perreira in the added time of the match.
