Indian Super Cup 2018: Minerva Punjab FC vs Jamshedpur FC - Player Ratings
The main draw of the Super Cup 2018 continued on Monday as I-League champions Minerva Punjab FC took on Indian Super League debutants Jamshedpur FC at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar, Orissa.
The match was an evenly contested affair as the two sides displayed their defensive solidarity as the score was 0-0 at the end of the full 120 minutes. Jamshedpur FC's Sanjiban Ghosh put on a solid performance between the sticks.
In the penalty shootout, both the keepers Kiran Limbu and Sanjiban Ghosh made good saves but in the end, Jamshedpur FC progressed to the final eight as they ended up winning 5-4 in the sudden death.

Minerva Punjab FC
Kiran Limbu (7/10) - The Nepal international keeper was kept busy by the Jamshedpur FC midfield who tested him from long range. He had a relatively quiet second half as Minerva dominated proceedings in the match. He did well in the shootout saving two kicks but failed to score the crucial one that he took himself.
Deepak Devrani (6/10) - The right-back had a busy evening as he was kept occupied by the runs on his flank by the Jamshedpur attackers. He did manage to make a couple of runs ahead to attack and was great with his powerful throw-ins.
Eric Dano (6.5/10) - The burly centre-back was the lynchpin in the Minerva defence as he marshalled his troops from the back. He was strong in his tackling and in the air as he did not allow much space or time to Kervens Belfort.
Kamalpreet Singh (6/10) - The defender played alongside Dano and did well with his tackling and speed to not allow the Jamshedpur attacks to build in the box.
Akash Sangwan (6.5/10) - The left-back was great on the ball and looked dangerous whenever he surged ahead to attack. He put in tempting balls for Girik Khosla at the front and helped out the defence whenever the team needed him.
Akashdeep Singh (6/10) - Akashdeep played as added protection to the Jamshedpur defence centrally. He put in a lot of tackles breaking up Jamshedpur plays.
William Opoku (7/10) - The midfielder was incredibly influential on the pitch for the Punjab side as he dictated the play for them. He took on the Jamshedpur defenders and had a lot of efforts on the goal.
Randeep Singh (5.5/10) - The defensive midfielder operated alongside Bazie Armand and was made to work hard by the Jamshedpur midfielders.
Bazie Armand (6/10) - The tough-tackling midfielder was booked early on for a rash challenge but that did not deter from his usual game. He went into tackles with full commitment and was a crucial cog in the midfield to keep Jamshedpur quiet.
Chencho Gyeltshen (8/10) - The Bhutanese striker was perhaps the most attack-minded player for the I-League champions. He looked dangerous whenever he was in possession of the ball and played on both the wings, cutting inside to take shots on the goal.
Girik Mahesh Khosla (6.5/10) - The Mumbai lad was the target man up ahead for the Minerva side and did well to keep the Jamshedpur FC defenders alert inside the box, He made good runs and had a couple of good efforts on the goal only to be denied by Sanjiban Ghosh in the Jamshedpur goal.
Substitutes:
Gagandeep Bali (4.5/10) - The striker came on to replace Girik Khosla in the 77th minute of the match as Minerva put on fresh legs in search of the goal.
Amandeep Singh (4/10) - The midfielder came on in the final ten minutes of regulation time as Khogen Singh made his second change of the match.
Moinuddin (4/10) - The midfielder came on in the first half of the extra time and did well to find passes for the attackers as Minerva looked for the match-winner.
