Indonesia vs Saudi Arabia Prediction and Betting Tips | November 19th 2024

Indonesia and Saudi Arabia return to action in Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers when they lock horns at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on Tuesday. Hervé Renard’s men head into the midweek clash unbeaten in 13 straight games against the hosts and will look to extend this dominant streak.

Indonesia were denied their first win in the World Cup qualifiers as they suffered a 4-0 thrashing against Japan at the Shin Tae-yong last Friday. Before that, Shin Tae-Yong’s side played out three consecutive stalemates in their opening three matches before falling to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of China on October 15.

With just three points from five matches, Indonesia are currently rooted to the bottom of the Group C standings and will head into Tuesday's clash desperate to get their campaign up and running.

Meanwhile, it has been a mixed bag of results for Saudi Arabia in the qualifiers, where they have managed one win and three draws from their five matches so far.

Renard’s men have picked up six points from a possible 15 to sit third in the standings, level on points with Australia and China, and seven points adrift of first-placed Japan.

While Saudi Arabia have been solid in defence, their underwhelming campaign has been due to the lack of sting at the opposite end of the pitch, where they have scored just three goals so far.

Indonesia vs Saudi Arabia Head-To-Head and Key Numbers

  • Saudi Arabia have been imperious in the history of this fixture, claiming 11 wins and two draws from the last 13 meetings between the two nations.
  • Renard’s men have failed to win five of their last six matches across all competitions, losing twice and claiming three draws since June 11.
  • Indonesia have managed just one win in their most recent eight outings across all competitions while losing three and claiming four draws since the start of June.
  • Saudi Arabia are unbeaten in eight of their last nine competitive away games, picking up six wins and two draws since November 2023.

Indonesia vs Saudi Arabia Prediction

It has been an underwhelming qualifying campaign for Saudi Arabia but they will be backing themselves against Indonesia, who have failed to win their previous 13 clashes since September 1981.

Renard’s men boast a superior squad on paper and we are backing them to come away with all three points at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.

Prediction: Indonesia 0-2 Saudi Arabia
