Inter Milan interested in Lukas Podolski
Italian side Inter Milan is keen to sign Arsenal’s Lukas Podolski in the summer transfer window as an offensive reinforcement. The Italian side has already completed the transfer of Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic and are looking to bolster their offensive unit.
The German striker has not been a regular starter for the London outfit this season, and it seems that the big spending Italian club will be his next destination in pursuit of first team football.
The Italian giants have already enquired about the German international and are all set to offer him a lucrative contract at the end of this season.
Podolski, 28, came to Arsenal two years ago from FC Koln, but has not been successful in solidifying his position in the squad and this has further strengthened the interest of Inter’s wealthy owner Erick Thohir.
Podolski has found it extremely difficult to find his favoured striker position in the London club as Olivier Giroud is given the role of central striker in majority of the games. As a result, the German star has been unable to make more than 5 starts this season which is seriously low for a player of his calibre.
The Gunners are linked with a horde of strikers in the upcoming summer transfer window and that can result into a parting of ways with their prolific German striker who is already in the radar of teams like Inter Milan and Schalke. Arsenal are believed to put a price tag of around £11m on the German forward, but it still remains to be seen if they are prepared to sell him.
