Inter Milan made bid for Tevez, says club president
Rome, Jan 16 (IANS) Inter Milan President Massimo Moratti confirmed Monday that they have made a 25-million euro bid for Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez.
The Nerazzurri are back in the race to sign exiled Argentine international after agreeing to personal terms with the player earlier but suddenly withdrawing their bid.
“There are no secrets in football,” the oil baron was quoted as saying by Xinhua. “The offer is 25 million euros. Now it is up to City whether they accept that bid or not.”
“However, I do think that there are a number of other clubs who are interested in him. There are some English sides and also French club Paris Saint-Germain.”
Tevez has been in exile since his refusal to take field in Manchester City’s defeat to German giants Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League group stages.
