Inter Milan to offload Esteban Cambiasso, Diego Milito and Samuel
Milan, May 18 Inter Milan officially confirmed that they will not sign new contracts with Esteban Cambiasso and Diego Milito after their current deals expire June 30.
Piero Ausilio, Inter sport director, said Saturday they will not keep Cambiasso for the next season, reports Xinhua.
“Due to reasons of strategy, renewal and for young players, he will not be confirmed in the squad,” he said.
“We will not propose a new contract. He understood this and sooner or later will return to us,” Ausilio added.
Ausilio also revealed that Milito will be leaving Inter too.
“We said to each other it was preferable to change, he knows that,” he said. “Milito does not represent a problem for us, as he is a professional who loves our club colours.”
Samuel also confirmed Saturday that he is “leaving Inter for a new adventure,” along with Cambiasso and Milito.
“I want to thank everyone, starting from my family, then Massimo Moratti, my teammates and all those who work here at la Pinetina ground,” Samuel told Inter Channel.
“I might be forgetting someone, but I hope I’ll be able to salute everybody. It was a great era, but I want to seek out a new adventure,” he added.
Samuel arrived from Real Madrid in July 2005, spending nine years with the Nerazzurri.
