International Friendlies: Fernando Torres bags a goal while England, Turkey and Switzerland register wins

Fernando Torres marked his first appearance for Spain in almost 11 months by scoring a goal from the penalty spot as Spain dominated Bolivia for a 2-0 win on Friday. Barcelona playmaker Andres Iniesta came up with the second goal with a curling effort. 

On the other hand, England will also be heading to Brazil on a high notes as they registered a comfortable 3-0 win over Peru at Wembley in their last warm-up game at their home soil.

A horrendous miss from Fernando Torres: 

It was Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge who opened the scoring for the hosts in the first-half after he slotted the ball home from a magnificent effort into the top corner of the goal. 

The other two goals were bagged by central back duo Gary Cahill and Phil Jagielka, both converting second-half corners from Leighton Baines in quick succession.

Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko’s brace was the pick of the night as he led Bossnia-Herzogovina to a 2-1 victory against Ivory Coast, with Chelsea legend Didier Drogba who scored from a free-kick in the 91st minute of the game.
